Ingredients for Peanut Butter Snowballs

You will need:

  • ½ cup butter (one stick), at room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

This recipe makes about 20 balls, depending on their size.

They make fun Valentine’s Day treats, as well as cute Christmas party desserts.

Instructions

1. Combine Peanut Butter and Butter

Mixing peanut butter and butter in a bowl.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, use a spatula to fold together the room-temperature butter and peanut butter until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

2. Add Dry Ingredients

Gradually fold in the graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar.

Mix until the ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture forms a thick paste.

3. Chill the Mixture

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour. This helps the mixture firm up, making it easier to roll into balls.

4. Shape & Coat The Snowballs

Rolling peanut butter bliss balls and placing them in cupcake liners.

Using a tablespoon-sized cookie scoop (or a spoon), portion out the chilled peanut butter mixture. Roll each scoop between your palms to form smooth, even balls.

Roll each ball in the additional ¼ cup of powdered sugar until fully coated.

For a festive touch, you can place the finished snowballs in mini cupcake liners. Change out the colors or patterns of the cupcake liners for different holidays or occasions.

PRO TIP: Mix up the peanut butter ball coatings with these alternatives to powdered sugar; cinnamon sugar, cocoa powder, dried coconut or sprinkles.

5. Store and Serve

Tips & Notes:

  • Use Room-Temperature Butter: Softened butter blends more easily with the peanut butter, creating a smooth base for your snowballs.

  • Using Natural Peanut Butter: Make sure your peanut butter is well stirred. You may also need to add a little bit more of the graham cracker crumbs. I tend to add 1 tablespoon at a time if the peanut mixture is too runny.

  • Chill for Easier Rolling: Don’t skip the chilling step—it ensures the mixture is firm enough to shape without sticking to your hands.

  • Switch Up the Coating: For variety, roll the snowballs in shredded coconut, crushed graham crackers, cocoa powder, cinnamon sugar, or sprinkles instead of powdered sugar.

  • Double the Batch: These treats disappear quickly! Consider doubling the recipe if you’re serving a crowd or making them for gifts.

  • Kid-Friendly Activity: Let kids help with rolling the balls or coating them in powdered sugar for a fun, hands-on activity.

These Peanut Butter Snowballs are the ultimate sweet treat—simple to make, deliciously addictive, and perfect for any occasion.

So easy to prep for a party or a quick dessert fix. These no-bake bites are as delicious as they are simple to make.

Just make sure you put aside a couple for yourself, as these definitely disappear quickly in our home!
