Sweeten your Valentine’s Day with these festive Valentine’s Day Oreos! Dipped in smooth white candy melts and sprinkled with heart shaped candy, these easy-to-make no bake treats are perfect for sharing with all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Oreo cookies
  • 12 oz white candy melts (or white chocolate for dipping)
  • Red heart sprinkles (or any Valentine's themed sprinkles)

Instructions

1. Prepare Your Workspace

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper to place your dipped Oreos on while they cool and set.

2. Melt the White Candy Melts

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white candy melts according to the package instructions. Typically, this means microwaving in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until fully melted and smooth.

You can also use melted white chocolate. Use the double boiler method, or microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between.

3. Dip the Oreos

Using a fork or your fingers, dip each Oreo into the melted candy. Let the excess coating drip off by gently tapping the fork against the edge of the bowl. Place the dipped Oreos onto the prepared baking sheet.

4. Add Sprinkles or Decorations

While the candy coating is still wet, generously sprinkle red heart sprinkles over the top of each Oreo for a festive touch.

5. Set the Oreos

Allow the Oreos to sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes or until the candy coating hardens. For quicker results, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes.

6. Serve and Enjoy

Once the candy coating has fully set, your Valentine’s Day Oreos are ready to enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

Notes

  • Use a Fork for Easy Dipping: A fork works great for dipping and lifting the Oreos while allowing excess candy coating to drip off smoothly. With kids we usually just use our fingers to hold onto a small part of the oreo cookie and dip the other half. Less accidental slipping that way.
  • Customize the Sprinkles: Swap out the heart sprinkles for any Valentine’s-themed candy decorations, such as pink or red sugar crystals.
  • Add a Drizzle Effect: After dipping, use colored candy melts (pink or red) to drizzle lines across the Oreos for extra flair.
  • Store Properly: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week—or in the fridge for extra freshness.
